Before computers could create photorealistic images of imaginary places, people had to do them by hand. Markus could paint something on the spot. The painting above took 45 minutes. Even tougher than Matte paintings were GLASS paintings, which many times had to be painted on location and quick enough before the light changed. This is the world Markus came from. It's always good to have someone running the show who's been in the trenches and knows tricks most people nowadays don't. Nothing replaces good vision, knowhow and talent, so at Astro Films, we like to join people that have exactly that.
Markus's paintings have sold the world over. To see some of his fine art work, be sure to check out his personal site also.
