Just like 3DS Max, Carrara comes with all kinds of easy to use modifiers that can change the object in many ways. I can see that the makers of Carrara really studied 3DS Max for inspiration, and then figured out ways to make it easier to use so you don't have to spend months/years trying to learn how to use it. The settings and sliders are straight forward and very easy to understand.
