Lighting and texturing is half the fun of 3D rendering. Although Carrara has caustics and subsurface scattering, I didn't use it here (I always try to find the fastest way possible). The ice surface was actually just a photograph image map texture in the glow channel and then I had a dark green distance fog make it all fade in the murky distance. The sub had some particle generators attached to it for bubbles. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
