Here is a test showing Carrara 3D fog. You can adjust it's color, density, lumpiness, and even speed at which it animates. I used different fog objects in this shot. The steam coming out of the shuttle and falling downwards and of course the main patchy fog of the environment. By the way, this is one of the hundreds of stock models that comes with Carrara. All I did was add a few custom decals and some fog- that's it!
